Many of the children who come to Graceland Child Care Centre in Lilongwe have mobility challenges that make everyday life harder — getting to therapy sessions, playing with friends, or simply moving around independently. Right now, we rely on borrowed or outdated equipment, and too many children are waiting for the tools they need to grow stronger.
Our Mobility & Therapy Equipment Campaign aims to change that. With your support, we will:
- Purchase 15 paediatric wheelchairs (sized for growing children)
- Acquire essential physiotherapy tools: therapy balls, parallel bars, standing frames, mats, and balance boards
- Train our volunteer therapists on the new equipment for maximum impact
This equipment will be used every week in our free physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and play sessions, helping children build strength, coordination, and confidence. A simple wheelchair can mean the difference between staying at home and joining friends at our inclusive camps. Better therapy tools mean faster progress and brighter smiles.

- Direct beneficiaries: 50+ children with mobility needs in the next year
- Households reached: 60+ families across Lilongwe wards
- Long-term outcome: Improved physical independence, reduced pain, and greater inclusion in school and community
